Frequently Asked Questions
How is YOD different from other coaching programs or diagnostics?
You’ll have practical words and understanding that help you make clear yes/no decisions. Instead of focusing on the next big project, we focus on practical daily application of what you’re learning, which will help you finish well. Projects don’t energize – Living in Your One Degree does!
You’ll know yourself better, and see how your God-given design has shaped your past, and can shape your future. Knowing Your One Degree helps Christianity make more sense – discovering the partnership you were designed to walk in.
How do I make donations? How much does coaching cost?
To make a secure one-time donation, or recurring donation, online, simply click the Donations button to the right, or here. Our mailing address is PO Box 1844, Broken Arrow, OK 74013. Please make checks payable to Your One Degree.
This is a coaching ministry largely funded by donations to provide these services.
What is the coach's role?
The coach provides material that enables guided reflection and self-assessment. He/she works with the individual via the phone and email, or if applicable face-to-face, to help them get clarity and understanding of their One Degree.
How do I know when I have completed the coaching process?
Initially, you will complete the coaching process when your confidence in what you've learned is applied to your current decisions, roles, and responsibilities. While your coach will not pressure you to finish or continue, he/she will give you their opinion on your best next steps. The time allotted in the process is generally more than enough to bring you to a sense of completion for where you find yourself at this point in life. It is hoped that you will utilize your coach as a sounding board or advisor in the years ahead as you find yourself in a new stage of life or level of responsibility.
What about confidentiality?
All of the discussions, your feedback from questions, etc., both verbal and in writing are held strictly confidential. The materials from this website are copyrighted and we request that they not be made available to other parties without written authorization from YourOneDegree.com.
Does Your One Degree provide marriage or psychological counseling?
No. While some principles and wisdom gleaned from this process will aid a marriage, this is not the main purpose of this process. The self-assessments are not psychological in nature. We are not probing why you are who you are, we are just trying to help you get practical answers to predominant aspects of your life and how you can best use and leverage those to maximize your life.
Who is your typical client?
We have helped all kinds of people--professionals, entrepreneurs, homemakers, pastors, executives, blue collar, and corporate employees. If you are committed to finding answers, we can help you.
